Radhika Kakarala, Internal Medicine Faculty and Medical Director of the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic (GCFMC) in Flint, submitted a grant proposal resulting in an award from the AAFP Foundation's Family Medicine Care USA, in which The Humana Foundation shall provide $25K funding to the volunteer-run medical clinic that provides free care to uninsured patients in the county. The program and its faculty emphasize the importance of Scholarly Activity in medical education and are proud of its residents having received first place at FMX in 2017, 2018, and 2019 as well as third place in 2019! Six posters were presented at FMX in 2020 as well. During interviews, applicants will have the opportunity to meet with our Program Director, faculty, and residents. Interviews are held in November, December, and January. Applicants meeting the selection criteria will be contacted for interviews by email.
